Dual-Language Teaching Model

Our intention will be to teach through Welsh and English 50/50 on average.

Everyday Processes:

  • Language of the Day - Welsh and English will alternate
  • School Assembly - Welsh with an element of English
  • Dual Language Assemblies - Welsh / English
  • The children will often hear Welsh music
  • All the staff will be fluent in Welsh so based on which language the children will hear, Welsh will be the main language of the school's adults.
  • School displays will be bilingual i.e. There is no need to keep to only one language when displaying pupils' work
