Nursery Class

Starting school is a big step in a child's life, and we aim to make the transition from home to school as slick as possible for them and for you. At Lili wen fach we cater for each child's needs by giving him/her the opportunity to develop skills and independence by playing and learning in an exciting environment that is safe, happy and homely. The class is designed to be an open, lit room that incorporates natural elements, such as plants, natural light and earth colours, to promote a sense of calm. Outside, there is a dedicated learning area with a canopy and soft floor that allows the children to play and learn outside in all weathers!

Staff:

Mrs Rhisiart is our class teacher. We are also very lucky to have Miss Roberts, Miss Lewis, and Miss Churcher helping us in class all day. Mrs Tiplady also teaches the Dual Language stream on a Thursday morning and the Welsh stream on a Friday afternoon.

Physical Education:

In our Nursery class, we do not have a specific day for Physical Education. Instead, we incorporate movement into our daily routine to ensure that children have regular opportunities to participate in physical activities. This approach is inspired by Froebel’s philosophy, which emphasises that physical development is essential for a child's overall growth and learning. This also aligns with the Curriculum for Wales, which encourages physical development and movement as part of everyday learning experiences.
